Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Menopause Therapy in Redondo Beach
Therapy for women’s life transitions helps with the anxiety, low mood, irritability, sleep disruption, and identity shifts that can come with pregnancy, the postpartum months, perimenopause, and menopause. I provide this therapy in person in Redondo Beach and online throughout California, and I work alongside your medical providers rather than in place of them.
Support through every stage
These transitions often arrive in the middle of an already full life, alongside careers, relationships, children, and aging parents. When your body and mood begin to feel unfamiliar, it is easy to wonder whether you are overreacting or losing yourself. You aren’t, and you do not have to sort through it alone.
How I help
I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and the science of mindfulness, tailored to what you need right now. Together we can work on:
Anxiety and low mood during pregnancy and after your baby arrives
The identity shifts of becoming a mother, and of later life stages
Changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, and focus during perimenopause and menopause
Health anxiety and the worry that can surround new symptoms
Support for partners who want to help without absorbing the anxiety themselves
Why you should work with me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 35468) and hold a Women’s Mental Health Specialist Certificate from PESI, with training in pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.
My own experiences with health changes and midlife transitions shape how I show up for my clients. I understand from the inside what it feels like when your body and your life start asking something new of you.
I work alongside your OB/GYN, midwife, or menopause specialist rather than in place of them, and with your permission I’m glad to coordinate with your medical team.
I also offer psychological testing for women, so if changes in focus or memory are part of the picture, we can look at them together.
How we work together

Rates and meeting formatsTherapy is $250 per 53-minute session. I am in network with Aetna, Anthem, and UnitedHealthcare and provide superbills for other plans. I see clients in person at my Redondo Beach office and online anywhere in California.

-
Many women notice new or stronger anxiety during perimenopause, often alongside poor sleep and big life changes happening at the same time. Your physician can evaluate the medical side, and therapy can help you manage the anxiety and the stress around it.

Both can help, and they do different jobs. Your OB/GYN, midwife, or menopause specialist addresses the physical side, and I help with the emotional, relational, and identity changes. With your permission, I’m glad to coordinate with your medical team.
-
Hormonal changes can affect memory and concentration, and they can also make longstanding attention difficulties harder to manage. If you want a clear answer, I also offer psychological testing for women.
-
