Fees & Insurance
Here’s what therapy, psychological testing, and divorce coaching cost at TrueLife, and how insurance works. Every service starts with a free 15 minute consultation.
Fees
Therapy: $250 per 53 minute session
Psychological testing: starts at $1,200. Your exact cost is confirmed during your free consultation.
Collaborative divorce coaching: $250 per hour, with a retainer once the scope of work is set.
Insurance
TrueLife is in network with Aetna, Anthem, and UnitedHealthcare for therapy. For other plans, you’ll receive a superbill you can submit for possible out of network reimbursement. Psychological testing and divorce coaching are private pay and are not billed to insurance.
Payment and cancellation
A card is kept on file and charged after each session. Therapy and testing appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice are charged a $150 late cancellation fee. This fee is paid out of pocket and cannot be billed to insurance.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, if you don’t have insurance or choose not to use it, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of your expected charges. You can ask for one before you schedule, and you’ll receive it in writing. If your bill is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute it. Save a copy of your estimate.
